Peter played in the successful Hawthorn Premiership sides of 1983, 1986 and 1988 and after retiring went on to become the AFL Director of Umpiring.
He was then appointed Senior Coach at the Hawthorn AFL Club for 5 seasons from 2000 to 2004 after being a successful Assistant Coach at Richmond and taking them to a preliminary final in 1994.
He then returned to administration and became C.E.O. of AFL Victoria for 3 years before joining the AFL in the important national role of Director of Coaching.
More recently he was appointed to assist the Brisbane Lions as Manager of Talent, Acquisition and Retention before returning to Melbourne. He presently is the Director of Sport Coaching at Wesley College and Head Coach of their A grade Victoria amateur football team.
Peter has followed on from his famous father and uncle and made the name SCHWAB a household name in the Australian AFL game.
He has already presented to a number of Norris Management clients on leadership and team culture and they have appreciated his insightful style that enables him to engage with all participants.
His radio, television and newspaper communication skills enable him to talk on many subjects with great authority but he focuses on high performance leadership, coaching and team work and culture.
He is now available depending on commitments as part of the Norris Management Coaching Group for corporate coaching assignments and speaking engagements.
