Bernadene Voss

Bernadene is an experienced Director, Non-Executive Director and Chairperson with commercial nous, governance experience and board competence in the private, public and not for profit sectors. She combines strategic leadership and digital experience with a solid understanding of financial oversight and risk management.

Bernadene’s story is one of resilience, passion and shear guts to get up and keep going with what you believe in. Today her focus is on working with and in collaboration, rather than against for strong and lasting progress.

Formerly Bernadene Hug, she grew up in Country Victoria, and experienced the death of her famous football father and grand father at aged 8, she has forged her own way in life.

She is a business leader with broad community and commercial engagement skills. She has a deep understanding of Government at all levels, with specific local government experience, holding the position of Mayor for the City of Port Phillip from 2015 to December 2018 and remains a Councillor, a position she was elected to in 2012 and again in 2016.

She is an experienced entrepreneur with expertise in technology development, risk management and cross-cultured stakeholder relationships.

She has a strong passion for building collaborative relationships and has a very successful track record of Advocacy, dealing with media and public speaking.
